Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–2 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Midland is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Midland is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We got here just after breakfast stopped being served. We decided to try lunch. The service and food was so good we had to come back to try breakfast and it was so worth it! The inside is absolutely adorable. I highly recommend this place.

We’re so glad we decided to stop here! We took a trip out to Texas and were heading back home to California when we decided to eat here, and it ended up being one of the best stops of our trip. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made our family feel genuinely appreciated. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the overall experience completely made up for our earlier disappointment elsewhere. I highly recommend the ribeye steak. It was amazing! Also, ask for Lydia if you visit. She was absolutely the best and made our experience even better with her outstanding service and kindness. If you’re looking for a family-friendly spot with great food and exceptional customer service, this is definitely the place to go. Worth every minute of the drive!

First time trying this local restaurant and it did not disappoint! The decor was welcoming and had a great atmosphere. My friend and I both ordered the fried catfish, and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. I also appreciated the little touches like having hot sauce packets available at the table. The sides were flavorful and paired really well with the meal. The hours are a bit limited, but that’s pretty common for locally owned restaurants. I’m definitely coming back to try their breakfast menu. If you’re looking for good local food, fried catfish, and a cozy spot, this place is a great choice!

The food was decent. The tortilla did not taste home made. The chicken tenders were not flavorful. The waffles were fluffy and tasty. The prices are quite outrageous in my opinion. $13 for one waffle and two little chicken tenders? The inside definitely felt β€œback in the day” and the wall decor and props were a great setup.

Always looking for and off the path cafe, I prefer it over any chain restaurant. This place reminds me of the cafΓ© back home. Sweet tea was good and it comes in a big cup. I ordered the chicken spaghetti and Mac n cheese. If your looking for a large portion this is not for you and its a tad pricey for the portion, but it is delicious. Our waitress was really nice and checked on us throughout our meal. Atmosphere was a little noisy for some but just what i expect. Great place to eat and the scenery inside is old school. Nice setup!
